I’m a desperately nostalgic person. Be it a napkin used as bookmark, or a worn out T-shirt left in the suitcase, losing something is as if a piece of me is washed away by the sea, I become less. I fear loss more than anything, but it is an inevitability. So this blog is about loss, and coping with it.
In Never Let Me Go, Norfolk was known to Kathy and others as England’s “lost corner”, the place where everything she’d ever lost would be washed up. Although this idea of a lost corner was genuine for Kathy H, there is nothing in Norfolk waiting for me. So I decided to create one myself, a lost corner where I could write things down, in the hope that they may come back to me one day.
Meanwhile, the objective is that I try to write down my thoughts and feelings after reading a book, watching a film or finishing a game, I plan to start with revisiting the ones I had finished and carry on from there. And I swear there will be one devoted to Never Let Me Go.
I hope you find resonance with these words, and wish you all the best in life.
